Telcon employs two advanced manufacturing technologies for its abrasive grit tools: Electroplated (EP)
and Vacuum Plated (VP).
The EP technology involves placing diamond grits onto the tool using an electric current in a specialized bath,
resulting in a layer that continuously exposes new, sharp edges, making it ideal for softer materials such as FRP.
In contrast, the VP technology uses a high-temperature vacuum furnace to bond the diamond grits,
ensuring superior adhesion and a harder,
more durable layer perfect for machining
tougher materials like sintered ceramics,
MMC, and CMC.
This dual approach enables Telcon to offer precision tools tailored to the unique requirements
of a variety of composite applications.
